Deep Water
Kevin and I have been talking about doing a Deep Water test, so guess what was waiting for me today?
Before you get too excited about the photo to the left, we decided that we’d take the “Runt of the Litter” from the HydroRush treated pepper plants (#14) and the strongest pepper plant from the untreated tray (by chance also #14).
As you can see, the root development from the untreated tray (left) is much more developed than the treated (right).
This photo doesn’t do justice, but Kevin pointed out that the untreated although with more roots had more brown root growth than the treated. The images below will hopefully show that in more detail.
I also learned that above-ground plant growth doesn’t necessarily equate to abundant root growth. We’ll most likely notice this as we pull samples and expose the roots in the days to come.
